In most circumstances, students are not permitted to be out of class without a blue corridor pass or, on occasion, a note from their respective teacher. A pupil may legitimately be out of class for one of the following reasons (and this is not an exhaustive list): when he/she is working on Reception duty for that day, has been given permission to go to the toilet (having first registered this at Reception), is taking a note to Reception (for example, asking for the support of ‘on-call’), is receiving first aid or is going to the library to change a reading book during DEAR.
