Year 8 English writing project trip to Birmingham museum and library

5th November 2014Mr A Probyn

On Tuesday, 31 pupils in year 8 visited the Birmingham museum and library to encounter some memorabilia and novels surrounding the topic of war and remembrance. The children gained some extra knowledge in order to help complete and write their own remembrance poems as part of the forthcoming English writing project. They were joined by their year 4 buddies from Maryvale Primary school and proved to be an absolute credit to themselves and the school. It was a wonderful trip to be part of and I hope the writing project will be a continued success.  Miss Hennessy
