A reminder to all students in year 7 that the consent form, medical form and payments of £15 needs to be returned to reception by Tuesday 30th September. Spare copies of the letter and forms are also in reception.
I would like to start with some fantastic news – we have been given official permission by the Archdiocese of Birmingham to open a sixth form! We are thrilled and delighted and will now begin the process of planning ahead of opening in September 2015. This is a huge step forward for our school and shows the high regard we are held in by the church and the local authority.
Our pupils have already been consulted on how they would like their sixth form to look and the sort of curriculum that we will offer. This will continue in the days ahead along with planning for a sixth form open evening in November. Parents of pupils in Year 11 are encouraged to discuss this with their children as they begin to consider what they want to do after Year 11.
Laser pens are banned in school. According to numerous research documents, they can cause serious problems when used inappropriately. Any laser pen found in school will be confiscated and parents/carers will be required to come into school to collect them.
