Our school uniform is a statement of our belonging. We expect a high standard of dress from all. We have also taken care to ensure that our uniform can be purchased from a number of suppliers including the larger supermarkets. Please read the following carefully before purchasing.

We have chosen our uniform as the majority of items can be purchased at a number of retailers (for example, large supermarkets and uniform shops). We urge parents/carers to seek out the best prices. Please ask if you are unsure!

SCHOOL UNIFORM – GIRLS

  • Plain black traditional skirt of an appropriate length (just above the knee at the shortest). Skirts must be formal and appropriate for school (not made from ‘stretch’ fabric or with additional detail)

OR

  • Plain black school trousers. These should not be fashion items. Girls may not wear tightly fitting trousers or leggings. Neither may they wear trousers with additional detail (bright zips, lettering, piping).
  • Black V-neck long sleeved jumper, with or without the school badge. No other permitted. No cardigans. Pupils do not have to wear a jumper. It is optional.
  • Black school blazer with Cardinal Wiseman badge. Black blazers are available at a number of stockists including the large supermarkets. The badge and tie can be purchased from the school office.
  • School tie - Available from the school office (parents/carers can purchase online) and from uniform stockists such as Clive Mark.
  • White shirt – shirts should be buttoned up at the neck, tucked in and the school tie showing the school badge. No T shirt underneath.

OR

  • White school blouse with open collar – No T shirt underneath.
  • Black, flat or low-heeled shoes – trainers, open toed sandals, high heeled or backless shoes are not Parents/carers should think carefully about potential purchases – will they be suitable for wet weather?
  • Boots may only be worn if they fit under trousers smartly and comfortably.
  • Plain black or white socks OR tights. No patterns or other colours.
  • No make-up, nail varnish, fake nails, fake eye lashes or jewellery – Parents/carers should think carefully before allowing a piercing. If a pupil is unable to remove a piercing on arrival they may not be permitted to attended scheduled lessons.
  • No fashion belts allowed. Just plain black, with a plain buckle.
  • Headcoverings/headbands/bandanas – Plain black only

School ties and blazer badges are available from the School Office or uniform stockists such as Clive Mark.

OUTDOOR COATS

All outdoor coats should zip or button up at the front. Outdoor coats should be worn over the blazer and removed when in class. No hats are to be worn in school.

GIRLS PE KIT

  • Cardinal Wiseman black polo shirt. Pupils name can be printed on the back. Alternatively pupils can wear a plain black t shirt (no logo).
  • Long sleeve black top to wear as a base layer in cold weather (optional).
  • Plain black shorts with Cardinal Wiseman badge (option to wear black tracksuit bottoms in cold weather). Alternatively pupils can wear a plain black shorts (no logo).
  • Plain black fleece with Cardinal Wiseman badge (optional). Alternatively pupils can wear a plain black sweatshirt (no logo).
  • Black football socks.
  • Trainers – these are in addition to school shoes. Trainers must not be worn at school.
  • All pupils require football boots. Pupils will be advised on the approach to use to ensure they fit. Shin pads for football/hockey.
  • Black one piece swimsuit and towel

SCHOOL UNIFORM – BOYS

  • Plain black school trousers – These must not be made from denim or ‘chino’ material.
  • Black V-neck long sleeved jumper, with or without school badge. No other permitted. Pupils do not have to wear a jumper. They are optional.
  • Black school blazer with Cardinal Wiseman badge. Black blazers are available at a number of stockists including the large supermarkets. The badge and tie can be purchased from the school office.
  • School tie - Available from the school office (parents/carers can purchase online) and from uniform stockists such as Clive Mark.
