As a school we strive to encourage our students to care for
the local community and get involved with helping and raising money for
charities both locally and further afield. Each year we have two Senior VIP
parties for the senior citizens from the local community; this event is supported by students from the Student Chaplaincy Team, the Cardinal Wiseman Choir and Food Technology. We provide food, entertainment and conversation to
allow the VIPs to have a wonderful day.
This year each of the school houses are taking responsibility for one
charity which they chose through the school council. The charities we will be
supporting are New Heights, St Vincent De Paul, CAFOD and Voyage Care. Houses will be challenged to come up with different ways to raise money and resources for their charities with competition between the houses encouraging students to
raise as much money as possible, students will also learn more about the
charities they have chosen to raise awareness.
