Postage – It is important to economise wherever possible. For example, when sending mail out in the post, it may be worth considering alternatives such as email, school newsletter, call parents or giving out the information to pupils to take home. When postage is unavoidable 2^nd class should be the preferred option using the correct size envelope. Increased costs in such areas impacts dramatically on the departmental capitation available to all.

Photocopying – Please be aware that the colour copier incurs a much higher cost so using the black and white copier is a cheaper option. Consider the amount of copies that you need as doing more than necessary will be wasteful.  If copying on coloured paper this will also be considerably more expensive that using white paper.  Again increased costs in this area impacts dramatically on the departmental capitation.
