Curriculum Structure:
- The timetable consists of 30 teaching periods of 50 minutes each per week.
- In addition every student has a 30 minute reading session once per day. One reading session per week is usually devoted to an assembly – which is held in House Groups.
- Key Stage 3 covers Years 7 and 8
- Key Stage 4 covers Years 9, 10 and 11.

Key:
* In Challenge students opt to study an extension subject from:
Creative Writing, Philosophy, French, Environmental Studies, Dance, Theatre Studies and Music Performance
** Year 11 A Band students study Spanish. B Band students gain extra mathematics, English and Religious Education lessons at those times.
*** Year 9 students undertake a module in Computer Science during their Physical Education Time as part of a rolling programme.
Options
Years 9 and 10 have chosen four options from the following list each of which they study for 3 periods per week.
Year 11 students have chosen three options.
All A band students must opt to study a Modern Foreign Language (French) and a Humanities Subject (History and/or Geography).

Most of these are GCSE courses – those indicated (*) are BTEC level 2 qualifications.
